How to Save During Back to School Shopping

There has been a lot of talk at the SeeNoEvil office regarding back to school!  Even though it may seems as if summer just started, school is just around the corner.  SeeNoEvil has put together a few tips to help you save on your back to school shopping.

  1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – Before you go shopping it is a good idea to take inventory to see what items you have left from last year. It keeps the items from going in the landfill and saves you money! You might be surprised to find your child may have unused notebooks, folders, or pencils and crayons still in good shape from last year.
  2. Shop Early – Stores start putting back to school items on sale long before school actually begins. Even though summer is a very busy time, it is a good idea to take a look at the Sunday ads and see what back school items are on sale.
  3. Visit the Dollar Store – You may be surprised to find many items on your child’s back to school list are in stock and significantly cheaper than other stores.
  4. Shop Online – Some stores offer cheaper prices online. You may even find very good used items at online networks like Freecycle, E-bay, and Craigslist.
